Liverpool Football Shirts

Liverpool FC is ranked as the most successful football team ever in the British League with an unique record in domestic and ECU competition. Bizarrely, this incredibly successful football team was born as the result of a lease dispute! Anfield the home of Liverpool FC was originally the home ground of Everton.

When they ( Everton ) won the British Football League Championship in 1891, Anfield owner John Houlding tried to increase their rent noticeably.

Liverpool is home to the oldest Chinese and African community in Europe. Liverpool carried out and funded the initial ever Atlantic telecommunication wire in 1886. Liverpool is home to the Grand Countrywide , the most famous steeplechase on the planet. The Liverpool Hotel and Hotel Liverpool and the Liverpool Adelphi are great places to reside and you will be in reach of Liverpool Restaurants and other attractions.

Liverpool won their first Soccer League championship in 1901, and their 2nd some years after in 1906. That same year, a major enlargement of Anfield took lace with the development of a large cinder bank behind the home goal.

Shankly joined Liverpool as chief in 1959 when Liverpool were languishing in the second division. Though he had no real experience of handling huge groups, it was Shankly who resolutely set Liverpool on the trail to success and established the management and coaching systems that served successive bosses well for the following thirty years or more.

The changing fortunes of Liverpool and Shankly's private personality ended in the club fielding the best players of the time, including Emlyn Hughes, Kevin Keegan, Ian St John, John Toshack and Roger Hunt.

Shankly took Liverpool back into the first division in 1962, the season in which Roger Hunt scored a record ( to this day ) 41 league goals. First division championships and FA Cup victories followed thru the 1960s and 70s, and then came Liverpool's first EU prize ( the UEFA Cup ) in 1973.

Anfield itself is hugely different to what it seemed like two, five and ten years back not to say twenty, fifty or maybe a hundred years back. The highlight for several is the chance to stroll down the famous players' tunnel and touch the famous 'This is Anfield' sign. The Anfield atmosphere, history and fabric is all part of the club. The club offers tours of its stadium, Anfield, which include a trip to the dressing rooms and a seat in the team dugouts.
